Surfside's popular historical walking tours are returning this 2023 season. The tours, led by acclaimed Historian Dr. Paul George of HistoryMiami, will be offered free of charge Sundays at 11 a.m. on Jan. 22, Feb. 26, March 26 and April 30.
Dr. George will take attendees back in time to the most eminent landmark buildings in the community, he will showcase the history of Surfside’s quaint, two-block downtown area on Harding Avenue, which was nonexistent prior to the immediate aftermath of World War II.
Tours begin at 11 a.m. from the Surfside Community Center. Sponsored by the Surfside Tourist Board.
