Community Awareness Flyer - Auto Burglaries


The Surfside Police Department is investigating several auto burglaries that occurred in the residential neighborhood between the overnight hours of August 3, 2018 and August 4, 2018. All vehicles that the subjects entered and burglarized had been left unlocked.

  • Please LOCK your vehicles
  • DO NOT leave a vehicle key in side your vehicle, even if it is locked
  • DO NOT leave items of value in your vehicle, or in plain sight
  • Immediately report any suspicious persons or vehicles in your neighborhood, including solicitors knocking on doors.
  • If you leave on vacation, call the police for a watch order and we will check your property daily.
