Due to low participation this week and out of an abundance of caution, the Surfside Parks and Recreation Department has cancelled Week 2 (July 6-10) of its summer program “Kickin’ It at 96th Street.”
The Surfside Parks and Recreation Department will determine whether or not to proceed with the tween/teen program based on registration for the following weeks and with the safety of youth in mind. If you are interested in participating, please contact the Surfside Community Center at 305-866-3635, or visit the Town website.
“Kickin’ It at 96th Street” is designed for youth ages 11 – 14 and takes place at 96th Street from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, Wednesday and Friday (July 13 – August 21). It is a great way for participants to meet new friends and engage in outdoor activities at the 96th Street Park. Activities will include outdoor sports, crafts, Surfside Police activities, on site “field trips,” community service and more. In accordance with CDC guidelines, all activities will be conducted with strict health and safety measures in place. The cost to participate is $30 per week and advance registration is required.
