As we move into the summer months, the Town of Surfside will be taking a closer look at safety issues concerning our community's parking habits. It is crucial for all residents to be aware that our children are out of school and more active in our residential areas.
Please avoid the following parking practices:
- Parking too close to stop signs, crosswalks, or fire hydrants: This obstructs the ability of motor vehicles to see clearly ahead, endangering our children and pedestrians.
- Parking against the flow of traffic: This creates visibility issues and increases the risk of accidents.
- Using car covers that block license plates: Clear or smoked covers can obstruct the visibility of your license plate.
- Improperly displaying or placing year decals: Ensure that your license plate and decals are clearly visible and properly placed.
To ensure the safety of our community, the Town's Parking enforcement will be identifying and addressing any parking problems in our neighborhoods. Your cooperation is essential in maintaining the safety and well-being of our community. Thank you for your attention to these important matters.
