    The brainchild of Venezuelan textile and fashion designer Sigal Cohen Wolkowiez, SIGAL empowers women to be themselves: bold, unapologetic, and beautiful. Shop a collection of women's resortwear from swimsuits to dresses. 

    SIGAL’s recognizable prints are meticulously created from hand-painted watercolor and ink-based art conceived by Wolkowiez. Relying on emotions and improvisation, the designer creates impulsive strokes with a brush soaked in water and paint in a process she refers to as “blind painting.” Her marks eventually become more intentional, resulting in motifs that merge watercolors with bold marker traces. Inspired by simplistic references including marine life, tropical flowers and Miami culture, Wolkowiez transforms the everyday element of her life into spectacular sights by way of detailed digital crafts(wo)manship. The garment becomes a blank canvas on which each design element is intentionally positioned. 
     
    SIGAL’s signature tropical maximalism is crafted with textiles made from organic fibers and sustainable, responsibly sourced materials, such as Lotus fabric. Transparency—one of the brand's core values—can be seen through an open creative and manufacturing process. Each piece is crafted at a facility in India which was built with the environment in mind. The fabric is printed with Sigal's hand-painted designs, using only non-toxic inks. Through SIGAL's storytelling, consumers are educated about and emotionally connected to their purchases. Each collection is launched when it is ready - not in accordance with the traditional fashion calendar - and takes roughly one year to create. All pieces are limited-edition, reinforcing the importance of thoughtful creation and consumption.
