Cruise the Strip
If you’re looking for a reason to explore Surfside’s business district on Harding Avenue, biking there is the best way to uncover hidden gems. There’s also a clearly delineated biking path on the road so you can ride safely. While you’re there, pick up desserts at Miami Beach Chocolates Surfside (you can’t go wrong with the truffles) or stop into Flanigan’s (their ribs are award-winning) to catch a game. Both places have bike racks nearby so that you can park your bike while you discover Harding Avenue.
Bike Along the Beach
Surfside is known for its mile-long stretch of pristine white sand beach, so a beachside ride is a must! Bike along the oceanfront bike path that runs from 87th Terrace to 96th Street to take in some fresh sea air and enjoy some of the best views in Surfside. The bike path parallels the walking path and gives bicyclists a crisp beachy breeze while enjoying some of Surfside’s most impressive architecture along Collins Avenue. You’ll see buildings completed by Pritzker Prize winning architect, Richard Meier at the Four Seasons Surf Club, the Arquitectonica designed Fendi Chateau, and ARTE by Italian powerhouse architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel.
