Jazz On The Beach with Local Jazz Star Melinda Rose
Enjoy the sweet sounds of smooth jazz paired with Surfside’s shoreline views at the upcoming Jazz On The Beach performance at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 at 93RD Street beach behind the Community Center. Bring your own blanket and chairs and take in the music in a serene setting. A second event will be held at the same time on June 12.

April's event will feature South Florida jazz vocalist and 2019 "The Voice" alumni, Melinda Rose.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Melinda Rose knew from a very young age that music was going to become her life. Melinda is now a four-time Downbeat Award Winner as of 2019. Rodriguez has performed in prestigious jazz festivals around the country such as The Benny Golson Jazz Festival, The Litchfield Jazz Festival, and The Miami Downtown Jazz festival.
Melinda has traveled as far as Bermuda and Japan to perform in other festivals and has performed alongside reputable artists such as Michael Feinstein, Cyrille Aimee, Jane Monheit in addition to working frequently with jazz greats such as Kevin Mahogany. Melinda is was the First Place Winner of the International Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition which took place in the nation's capital in 2019.
