Join the Town of Surfside on Sunday, April 27, 2025, for two exciting events that celebrate sustainability and environmental awareness.
Earth Day Resource Fair
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Earth Day Resource Fair will take place at the Surfside Community Center. Presented by the Parks and Recreation Department, this family-friendly event will feature eco-friendly initiatives, local resources, and activities that promote sustainability.
Photo Contest Alert!
Submit your original photos of recycled or reused objects for a chance to win a $100 Parks and Recreation gift card. The grand prize-winning photo will be featured in the Town’s Surfside Gazette.
Plastic Fishing Festival
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., head to 93rd Street Beach for the Plastic Fishing Festival, sponsored by the Resort Tax Board. Help clean up the beach and turn trash into art! Participants will collect plastic waste to create colorful, creative sculptures, raising awareness about ocean pollution. This event is hosted by Plastic Fisherman, combining fun with environmental action.
