On Friday, March 15, Elected Officials were joined by City of Hialeah's Mayor Bovo Jr., State Representative Basabe and other guests for the unveiling of the Flamingo Butterfly Garden. The garden, located on 92nd Street and Bay Drive, houses a unique
flamingo statue with a neighborhood motif that was donated and custom decorated by a local artist.
Hialeah’s striking flamingo statues have become synonymous with the city, much like Surfside’s colorful turtles. In an artistic
exchange, the Town has donated one of them for display at Hialeah’s popular McDonald Water Park.
