
Surfside Vice Mayor Tina Paul joined local leaders at the Coastal Mayors of Miami-Dade County Executive Session on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, where officials gathered to discuss regional waterway sustainability and resilience initiatives. The executive session, hosted by Mayor Omarr C. Nickerson of El Portal, featured insights from municipal leaders, including Miami Springs Mayor Maria Puente Mitchell and North Bay Village Mayor Rachel Streitfeld. The discussions centered around the theme “Blueways… of all Shapes and Sizes & Permeability is Key,” highlighting the need for strategic planning to enhance waterway connectivity and resilience.
